Think outside of the box! That's what I do when I want to tell a story creatively. There are so many ways and so many platforms to do just that. It's part of so many people's daily lives, some people don't even realize that they are already creative storytellers. Everyone has a story, and there's no one way to tell your story.

Life, Camera, Action's story focuses on how film and video can influence a content creator's life. My favorite ways to tell my story are through my blog and Instagram stories. I eventually want to expand to even more platforms. Here are a couple of creative features an average person or business could use to truly capture their target audience's attention while authentically telling their story.

Instagram/Facebook Stories

Instagram/Facebook stories are one of my favorite ways to tell a story online. Hootsuite reports 500 million people use Instagram stories daily, and 300 million people use Facebook stories. So, there's definitely an audience out there for you. From my own perspective, I notice my peers post more on their stories than their actual feed. Instagram and Facebook stories are a great way to creatively tell a story as well as interact with your audience. You can post a photo, video, or boomerang, add text, do polls, have a countdown, and so much more. It's very interactive, and the story will only be available for 24 hours unless added as a highlight. Highlights are also a really cool feature to use on your Instagram account.

Twitter Threads

Twitter threads are just as captivating as posting a video online, and they tend to do very well with engagement. Twitter threads can provide more context for your audience, so if 280 characters are not enough to tell your story, then creating a thread is perfect for you. Those threads can be about anything from a behind-the-scenes look at your company to live-tweeting an event.

Gifs

I absolutely love gifs! They just make all my posts better. Gifs can be included in a tweet, Instagram or Facebook story, blog post, and even YouTube videos. Everyone is free to use gifs and you can make your own with the help of multiple programs and gif makers. Gifs are such a versatile tool to use when telling your story online. They are mobile-friendly, and when included in a text post whether on a blog post or in a tweet, they make reading more fun.

Animations

It's something the average person may not be able to do, but your storytelling would be superb if you can make animations. I believe it's important to use your uniqueness to your advantage, and with animations, you can let your visuals speak for you.

Videos

You don't have to be a professional filmmaker to create videos. The purpose of Life, Camera, Action is to highlight how video can positively affect the lives of video creators while also teaching and inspiring those who want to become a video creator. Videos are distributed across a wide range of social media platforms. From YouTube to TikTok, find what works best for you and tell your story. Videos relay the information quickly and rank higher in search engines. You can never go wrong with using videos!
